These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website at [www.shoplittlechickadee.com] (the "Site") and any purchase you make from us, whether online or in person. By accessing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Us

Little Chickadee is a consignment retailer specializing in gently used maternity and children's clothing, gear, and accessories. Contact us anytime here.

2. Consignment & Pre-Owned Items

Most items sold through Little Chickadee are secondhand or consigned goods. While we carefully inspect and describe each item, pre-owned products may show minor signs of wear consistent with gentle use. Product photos and descriptions are provided in good faith to reflect the item's actual condition. All items in our shop are preowned and sold via consignment unless otherwise noted. Little Chickadee is not affiliated with the brands we resell, and all copyrights are reserved for the original designer.

3. Orders & Payment

• All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice.

• We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons including but not limited to item availability, pricing errors, or suspected fraudulent activity.

• Payment is due in full at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards and Shop Pay.

• Because we are run by humans, if a mistake happens, we'll contact you to offer a refund or substitute.

4. Shipping

• Orders are typically processed within 2-5 business days.

• Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and vary by location. Please see our shipping policy for more information.

• We are not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier once a package has left our hands, but we're happy to help you track down a lost or delayed shipment.

• Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.

5. Returns & Store Credit

Returns are governed by our Return Policy, summarized below:

• Maternity and children's clothing: eligible for return within 14 days of purchase   for store credit only.

• All other items (gear, furniture, toys, etc.): final sale, no returns or exchanges.

• To start a return, please contact us  with your order number and item(s) you wish to return.

6. Product Condition & Disclaimer

Items are sold "as is" unless otherwise noted. We do our best to accurately describe and photograph flaws, but we do not guarantee that every imperfection has been noted. Buyers are encouraged to reach out with questions, or to request additional photos or an in-person viewing (see Section 7), before purchasing.

Little Chickadee does not warrant that products meet any particular safety standard, recall status, or certification beyond what is disclosed at the time of listing. It is the buyer's responsibility to check current recall databases (such as cpsc.gov) for items like car seats, cribs, or other children's gear before use, especially for older or discontinued products.

7. In-Person Viewing of Gear & Larger Items

For larger items or gear, we're happy to coordinate an in-person viewing prior to purchase. Contact us to arrange a time.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is the property of Little Chickadee or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without our written permission.

9. User Conduct

When using the Site, you agree not to:

• Provide false or misleading information

• Use the Site for any unlawful purpose

• Attempt to interfere with the Site's security or functionality

• Resell items purchased from us in a manner that misrepresents their condition or origin

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Little Chickadee is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or products purchased from us. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the item(s) in question.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
