Little Chickadee was founded by two Del Ray, Alexandria moms who know firsthand how quickly kids outgrow clothes, toys, and gear - and how soon you’re shopping for the next size, stage, or milestone. Allie, mom to a 6-year-old and a 3-year-old, brings a background in marketing and communications to building a brand our community can trust. Elizabeth, mom to a 3-year-old, previously founded a social enterprise tackling food waste and brings that start-up experience and passion for reducing and reusing.

Together, we're building the kind of shop we know our community needs: a place to find high-quality goods at prices that make sense, pass along what your kids have outgrown, and connect with a community of parents doing the same.

Our online store is open 24/7 so you can shop our curated selection of gently-used maternity wear, kids' clothing, toys, and gear anytime you want. Pick your order up during our dedicated weekly hours in Del Ray, Alexandria or take advantage of free local delivery to select zip codes as we build out nationwide shipping. Prefer to shop in person? We host pop-up markets where you can browse, connect, and find your next great find face-to-face. However you like to shop, we're making it easy to do good for your wallet, your community, and the planet — one gently-loved item at a time.

We're a small, mom-run operation which means we're nimble, personal, and deeply invested in getting this right. It also means that occasionally, real life intervenes. Kids get sick, schedules shift, and life happens (as any parent knows better than anyone). We appreciate your grace and patience when it does, and promise to always communicate as quickly as we can when anything affects your order or our hours.
